Title catch your eye? That won’t be the only thing…

This bright, candy-pink Subaru was entered into the 2019 SEMA battle of the builders by Croll’s Customs, and there’s way more to it that what first meets the eye.

SEMA’s Battle of the Builders gives an opportunity for builders to showcase their talents. Industry legends and up-and-coming builders go head-to-head and is always an awesome way to see how people are innovating their builds.

During the competition, the pool of more than 200 contestants is whittled down to 40, then one final winner is announced. To even be considered as one of the initial 200 is quite an honor in itself.

This car immediately grabs your attention with the absolutely flawless paintwork, with a slick, almost wet look covering the APR wide body kit. Sitting low on an Air Lift Performance suspension, the build is perfectly in proportion with the highly-polished wheels, serving an enviably clean, lowered look.

Speaking of the wheels, notice how they key in with the engine…? The whole build is an exercise in detail rather than unnecessary excess – every part has a purpose.

This Subaru is very much reminiscent of the mid-2000s tuner builds and that what we love about it.

Remember how we said that there’s more to this build than meets the eye? Upon taking a closer look, you’ll notice that this Subaru has been converted to right-hand-drive!

It’s elements like this that reward the people who take the time to look deeper and deeper into the build. This one really is more than skin deep.
