There’s no denying that last year’s SEMA car was the GT86/FR-S/BRZ platform. Fast forward 12-months and it’s safe to say this rear-drive coupe is still just as popular as it’s initial launch.
But over that year there’s been some SERIOUS development happening worldwide. From forced induction upgrades right through to bespoke widebody conversions, this super-cool coupe is a prime tuning candidate – especially with Air Lift Performance bolt-on suspension kits also available!
One of our favorites spotted from SEMA 2013 comes from California-based tuners Speed Element Performance. These guys regularly track and race their demo cars that previously include a Mitsubishi Evo X, Lexus IS-F and BMW 335i. The Scion FR-S would be no different, and since obtaining the car earlier in the year it’s served as a constant development mule going through several looks, wheels and styles before hitting up SEMA. They definitely saved the best till last…
Running our AutoPilot V2 management the Speed Element FR-S sits millimeter perfect over the MTechnia 2-piece Aero wheels, allowing a super-aggressive stance even with the Rocket Bunny flared arches. It’s not all for show, though. Project Mu brakes (front and rear) along with a DC Sports exhaust and Perrin intake greatly improve the stopping capability and sound for road and track use.
Sure there may have been a large quantity of FR-S models sporting Rocket Bunny Aero, but this is undoubtedly one of the most complete and best looking spotted at SEMA.
